Unirii Bridge in Maieru – An iconic project in Bistrita-Nasaud County
As part of the development of the road infrastructure in Bistrita-Nasaud County, SC FRASINUL SRL had the honor to contribute to a highly important project for the local community: the Unirii Bridge in Maieru. This landmark was officially inaugurated on October 30, 2019, in the presence of local and county authorities, and is regarded as a symbol of progress and unity in the area.
Technical details and project significance
The Unirii Bridge spans the Someșul Mare River, connecting the localities of Maieru and Poiana Ilvei. Built with funds allocated through the National Local Development Program (PNDL), the investment amounted to approximately 2.4 million lei (about 510,000 euros). The bridge’s structure is modern and durable, designed to last over 100 years, reflecting the commitment of authorities and builders to quality and sustainability.
By constructing this bridge, accessibility between rural areas and national roads has significantly improved, facilitating local and regional transport. Additionally, the project helped reduce travel times and increase road safety in the area.
